ANDREW PELLETIER

Musician//Creator//Teacher: Chicago, Ill.

I am the leader and songwriter of Chicago band Minor Characters. I help shape the musical minds of kids and adults as an instructor in the Chicagoland area. I compose, produce, and write about music and I'm trying to focus my work on helping other bands and projects produce music by offering my skills as a composer and player.

With Minor Characters, I've made music with inspiring people like Beau Sorenson (Tiny Telephone Oakland, Bob Mould, Death Cab), Steve Shirk (Joe Pug), and TW Walsh (Bazan, Pedro the Lion), made an album at April Base in Eau Claire, WI (Bon Iver), toured extensively, and played South By Southwest Music Festival 2010-2013.

As a music instructor I've curated numerous recitals, helped students young and old form bands of their own, and currently have a full schedule of gifted students. I am also one of the highest rated teachers in Chicago on Reverb.com

I hold a Bachelors of Arts in music composition from Columbia College Chicago with a minor in guitar performance (2008). I have been teaching, performing, and writing since.
