Music Education & School Programs

I offer a range of music courses and programs designed for independent and private schools, adaptable to any existing curriculum or buildable from the ground up. Whether your school has an established music department or is looking to start one, I bring 18 years of teaching experience, a degree in music composition from Columbia College Chicago, and a working career as a recording artist and composer.

I have designed and taught music programs for Los Angeles Unified School District and Odyssey Charter Schools (Pasadena Unified), and have worked with students ranging from absolute beginners to those preparing for collegiate auditions.

Private Lessons

I've been teaching private music lessons since 2008- it was the first thing I did after graduating music school, and it's been a constant throughout my career as a touring musician, recording artist, and producer. I've worked with students of all ages and levels, from five-year-olds picking up a guitar for the first time to adults returning to an instrument they set down decades ago. Some of my students I've been teaching for over ten years.

I teach guitar, piano, bass, songwriting, and music production. Lessons are tailored entirely to the student — whether you want to learn your favorite songs, develop serious technique, write and record your own music, or just finally understand how music works.

I also teach online, and roughly half of my current students are adults. If you've always wanted to play or you're looking to reignite something you left behind, I'd love to work with you.

Rates:

  • 30 minutes: $60
  • 45 minutes: $75
  • 60 minutes: $90
